Away Again

Julia and I will be away for the whole of May. We will be guests at Kublacon in San Francisco at the end of May. As a consequence we have decided to close down the direct sales while we are away. They will go back up early in June.

Upcoming Shows and Conventions

Julia and I will be attending the PLAY show in Modena this year. The show starts on Friday 23rd March.

We will also be at Kublacon in San Francisco this May (25th to 28th).

I will be showing proto types of forthcoming designs at both events.

Postal charges

Apparently Royal Mail will be increasing their rates from April. The final rise is not known yet but a friend who works at Royal Mail thinks they are going to be on the high side. Consequently, best to order early before our free shipping period expires at the end of March.

Just to clarify the situation regarding Let’s Take a Hike, as the game is being sold by Boards and Bits in the US we have to charge for shipping to the rest of the world, otherwise we are undercutting them. We have been asked to do this by the publishers, Stratamax.

A Few Acres Of Snow 2nd Edition

A second edition of A Few Acres of Snow is being printed at the moment and should be available in April in Europe and May/June in North America. A few changes have been made to the rules. You can download the second edition rules here.

Deluxe Ankh Morpork and Essen

Julia and I are off to Essen tomorrow and will be back on the 24th October. No orders will be shipped while we are away. Internet access will be limited so please do not be offended if it takes Julia a while to reply to queries.

We will be taking sixty copies of the deluxe edition of Ankh Morpork with us. Please do not email asking to reserve a copy, it will be first come, first served on Thursday. Please remember that more copies will be available after the show.

Treefrog will be producing a card game called Old Men of the Forest this month (available at Essen). All of the profits from this game will be donated to the Orangutan Foundation UK. You can check out more details by clicking on the link to the right of this page. The price at Essen will be 10 Euros.

Treefrog will be in hall 5 booth 26 this year. We will be sharing a stand with Stratamax, so make sure you come by to collect your copy of ‘Let’s Take a Hike.’

Order update

All those people who pre ordered copies will receive them in the next one to two weeks. The final sacks were collected this morning – took three lorries to ship all of the packages away, over a period of four days.

Please be aware that delivery times can vary massively, and it is not unknown for games to go missing in the post. If you have not received your game after two weeks then feel free to start emailing Julia, but please not before then because she’s working very long hours at the
moment.

I do not have a release date for the deluxe edition yet. I’ve only just received a complete set of resin pieces, which are necessary for working out the best way of packaging them within the box. The plan is to have a specially designed foam inlay that will hold them. I already have a company lined up to design and manufacture this, but this all takes time.

Collector’s Edition latest

I’ve just had an email from Ludofact informing in that Ankh Morpork will be delivered this Wednesday, 14th September. We will then get them out of the door as soon as possible.
